Woosung Kang
Postdoctoral Researcher at DGIST. Building predictable and efficient AI systems for real-time and embedded platforms.
Real-Time Computing Lab
DGIST · Daegu, South Korea
Welcome! I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), where I work in the Real-Time Computing Lab under Prof. Hoon Sung Chwa. I received both my Ph.D. and B.S. from DGIST.
My research lies at the intersection of real-time systems and deep learning. I design system-level frameworks—spanning task scheduling and CPU/GPU resource management—that make DNN inference on resource-constrained embedded and edge platforms both efficient and time-predictable. A recurring theme in my work is taming GPU memory and compute bottlenecks so that latency-critical applications can reliably meet their real-time guarantees.
I am always glad to discuss research or potential collaborations. Feel free to reach out at woosungkang (at) dgist.ac.kr.
